Boy Scouts of America Poster 2010

Boy Scouts of America Poster 2010
I have been involved in The Boy Scouts of America since following my older brother around on camping trips at age six, before finally joining cub scouts a few years later. This is a piece I designed as a tribute to the history of scouting.

The main individual was inspired by the work of Normal Rockwell, illustrator for the Boy Scouts of America from 1912-1976. This scout is dressed in the older style of uniform in order to represent scouting's past.  The stripes of the American flag in the background of the piece project outwards in order to represent the future of scouting.
